A chance to own some football history

SOME OF Western Australia’s most important football history will be on display at a special function to launch the new-look Football Hall of Fame WA at Dorrien Gardens on Friday, November 15.

There will be colourful posters of each of the Hall of Fame’s six induction ceremonies, listing all the inductees from 1996 through to 2016. (Pictured is the 1996 Roll of Honour). There will also be posters celebrating the State football team’s link – from the first State representative game in 1902 to the present day – with the Black Swan, the official bird emblem of Western Australia.
Also on display will be memorabilia celebrating some the State team’s most famous international challenge games – against the likes of Manchester United (1967), Chelsea (1974), Rangers (1975), Moscow Torpedo (1990) and West Ham (1995).
Copies of all these items – framed or unframed – will be available for sale on the night or by contacting Hall of Fame Committee member Keith Brier on kbg12@bigpond.com
