Vale Dick Fearon

Dick Fearon, a long-term contributor to footballs’ development in the States’ south-west, passed away following a short illness on 9th April 2021.

Born in Liverpool, England, in 1939, Dick quickly spread the football gospel upon his arrival in Australia in 1970. Based in Bunbury where he helped establish Bunbury Dynamos, he was the heart and soul of soccer in the south west where he served as a coach and administrator at all levels.

Dick’s passion for Dynamos was rewarded with Life Member of the Bunbury club. Additionally, the three life memberships he was awarded by junior associations in the south west are further proof of his love and devotion to football.

Dick was inducted into the Hall of Recognition (Football Hall of Fame Western Australia) in 2002. Two years later his considerable achievements lead to his entry into the Recognition category of the South West Hall of Fame (South West Soccer Association).
